Edward McCauley was born in 1847 in Pennsylvania. He joined the army towards the end of the war and was placed in the 101st Pennsylvania Regiment, Company G.
The company that McCauley joined, while meant to supply the 101st regiment with replacements for fallen and imprisoned troops, never consolidated with the original companies and the regiment was mustered out on June 25, 1865.
Edward McCauley died in 1919. He is buried in section B.
