William McKnight was born in 1829 in Ireland. Towards the end of the war he joined the army and was placed in the 101st Pennsylvania Regiment. As he had joined later into the war, he was not assigned a company and did not experience any combat. Following the war, he married Rose C. McKnight and together they had four children. William McKnight died in 1908. He is buried in section B.
